According to Bazooka and Proxy Moon

According to Bazooka's catchy songwriting style has a retro feel of the 1960s. These melodic musings feature three point harmony and a folk-rock vibe that calls to mind a nostalgic era of pop music. According to Bazooka features Richard Urbino (vocals, guitar), René Martucci, (vocals, accordion) and Jamie Knapp (vocals, upright bass). PROXY MOON's music is rooted in folk, jazz, blues, country - fundamentally American music with an emphasis on original songs featuring strong, interesting lyrics and melodies delivered with spirited musicianship. They’ve been described by turns as esoteric, poetic, and irreverent, with a bit of a burlesque thrown for good measure.

Saturday, November 17th
Sam Eliot, Sean Fleming, and Will Comstock

Sam Eliot/Duke Chevalier is a musical project from California that drapes idiosyncratic songwriting with a cosmopolitan musical aesthetic. Drawing on diverse influences as Afro-Caribbean and West African folk music, spaghetti western scores, contemporary hip-hop, chartreuse music, American folk songs, and garage rock, Duke Chevalier paints a landscape where both ancient spiritual and futurist post-everything worldviews dance together in an anxious harmony. Sean Fleming's latest release, Glow Worms has drawn comparisons to acts such as Fleet Foxes, The War On Drugs & Lord Huron. Fleming is known for his sweet falsetto, sometimes raspy tenor vocals and the raw sincere energy he delivers on stage. Fleming captures a new Californian take on Cosmic American Folk Music. Will Comstock is an indie/Americana songwriter.

Dive Bar Bombers and Jet Black Popes

Dive Bar Bombers are a power trio playing a satisfying blend of blues, rock, power pop, and soul. If a Peterbilt 18-wheeler hauling Superchunk’s drums and guitars crashed into a Toyota Prius carrying the remains of the Minutemen’s D. Boon and some of the Dandy Warhols’ backstage furniture, what would be splashed out onto the highway is the Jet Black Popes. Welsh Rarebits.
