Kevin Seconds is a incredible songwriting talent. He started his band, 7 Seconds almost 38 years ago, and now he is one of the most prolific songwriters in the style of acoustic indie pop with a country/Americana lean. He still tours and records with his original punk band and his solo work, and calls Sacramento his home.

According to Bazooka and The Uncovered

According to Bazooka's catchy songwriting style has a retro feel of the 1960s. These melodic musings feature three point harmony and a folk-rock vibe that calls to mind a nostalgic era of pop music. According to Bazooka features Richard Urbino (vocals, guitar), RenĂ© Martucci, (vocals, accordion) and Jamie Knapp (vocals, upright bass). They celebrate the release of their new CD "Where We Are Now." The album was produced by David Houston and recorded at Moon Studio in Sacramento. The Uncovered likes to "uncover" overlooked B-sides. They perform the music of Crowded House, Steely Dan, The Monkees, Prince, Bonnie Raitt, Jason Mraz, The Beatles, The Black Keys, Peter Gabriel, Eels, Bill Withers, Dionne Warwick, Joss Stone, Nick Lowe, War, Ringo Ska, Marvin Gaye, Animal Liberation Orchestra, and many more!

Hip Hop Helps Toy Drive with Mr. P Chill, Mr. Hooper, Poor Majesty, Max Bundles and Turntablist Ajax, J.Smo, and Vox Society with DJ Mike Colossal
Mr. P Chill has put together another spectacular lineup of local hip hop. This time we're asking for toy donation or a steeper cover. Check out some great local talented rappers and donate a toy. Supporting the Stanford Settlement Neighborhood Center.

Jenn Rogar, James Israel, and Gillian Underwood
Jenn Rogar plays jazzy folk, jazz standards and country infused protest songs. She'll be performing with Fred Nelson Jr. on drums (Oleander). American roots, rock & roll, blues, Grateful Dead, and Pink Floyd come to mind when thinking of James Israel's music. Gillian's sound is an eclectic mix of country, folk, jazz and pop, heartbreaking lyrics, powerful vocals, and two guitars. If you like Lucinda Williams, Cat Power, Neko Case or Gillian Welch, you should come to this show.
Kally O'Mally & the 8-Tracks and The Natalie Cortez Band
Kally O'Mally is a singer songwriter, producer, multi-instrumentalist, and her band the 8-Tracks bring her fun songs to light. Another great female local songwriter and Sammie Hall of Famer, Natalie Cortez, plays folk-rock-pop with her great band. Join us for a night of fantastic female fronted local bands.

ENGAGE INC Benefit feat. Annah Anti-Palindrome, Kate Livoni, OverState, Temple K. Kirk, and Finley
A Benefit for ENGAGE, Inc., they provide respite, food, and camping gear to homeless youth. Come out and hear and see some great music and spoken word. Annah Anti-Palindrome is a musician, Optical Sound-Smith, and queer/femme antagonist currently living in Oakland. Kate Livoni is a local singer/songwriter multi-instrumentalist. Julie Bruce brings the raw punk energy with her fun tunes. Overstate is a magical music artist. Temple K. Kirk rap/sings over wild sounds and rhythms. Finley does spoken word. All proceeds go to helping homeless youth.

Trevor McCord is influenced by Jack White and Arcade Fire. Coyote Reverie bring haunting and reflective Americana roots with deep feeling and melodic soundscapes.

Infinite Vastness and Sly Park
The wild boys of Infinite Vastness are back to blow your mind with pure rock & roll yumminess. Frontman, Taylor Clark's wicked guitar acrobatics and incredible voice remind us of Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin. Sly Park returns too with their soulful bluesy rockin' groovy tunes. Party on!

CTRL-Z is a rocking live Sacramento band that creates dynamic funk, blues, and reggae grooves combined with powerful lyrics from bandleader Zealous. Spacewalker says, "James Brown is the godfather of soul. Michael Jackson is the King of pop. I AM THE KID SISTER OF ROCK N' ROLL AND THE QUEEN OF INTERSTELLAR BEATS. Spacewalkin' to a venue near you!". Big Ethel has been described as garage-pop-doom-folk-surf-psych and pretty much everything in between all those nifty dashes.

An Evening Shared with Kevin Seconds, Bobby Jordan, Grub Mitchell and Alex Walker with very special guest Anton Barbeau.

Kevin Seconds is back with another songwriter's in the round session and it's always great to have this international punk songwriter here at the Goose. Bobby Jordan is an Americana/singer-songwriter who plays in the Mr. T Experience, Slattern V, Knockoffs, Red Star Memorial, Go National, and the Decibels. Grub-dog Mitchell is the fearless leader of Loose Engines and Grub-dog & the Amazing Sweethearts and his songs are heartfelt stories in an indie country/Americana vein. Alex's reverbnation page has him compared to Elliott Smith, Keane,Pedro The Lion, Toad the Wet Sprocket, and Gotye. Anton will do an opening set of his quirk-pop workings. Meowzers.
