Support local music! Go to a show at Fox & Goose!

We mostly have local performers here at the Goose, but we are always getting emails from people all over the world asking to come play here. Anyhow, enjoy some local music and a few touring acts once in a blue moon at your favorite pub, because one day live music may just stay at home with the rest of the interneters. January marks forty years of music, food, and beer at Sacramento's first and most important pub. Come join us and the Tattooed Love Dogs on January 16th for a pint, a song, and a pasty to celebrate this great institution!

Roger Carpio
Roger of Lipstick fame is on the wax at 8pm every Wednesday playing the best British music. Come play some cornhole after 10 and hear why he knows exactly what you need to hear.

Thursday, December 4th
Marty Cohen & The Sidekicks
Every first Thursday we have Marty Cohen & The Sidekicks. They play original Americana/folk with a twist. Enjoy good feelin' music and great beer at the Goose!

Friday, December 5th
Doug C & The Blacklisted, Shelby Cobra & The Mustangs, Ryan Davidson, and The Delta City Ramblers
Why Do Punk Rockers Think They Can Play Country Music? Doug C played in the Descendents and now he's here with his alt-country/rockabilly band and some other rowdy hill-billy types. Delta City Ramblers are fun and local bluegrass/country boys. Come on down to the Goose and have some whiskey... Ya hear?

Saturday, December 6th
The Orange Scene and 50-Watt Heavy Double-trouble B-Day Bash!
The Orange Scene is pure girl rock like Joan Jett or Pat Benatar or even Janis Joplin. They are super fun and catchy and fronted by birthday girl #1: Tara Elizabeth. 50-WATT HEAVY is influenced by all genres from Country to Metal and is often compared to the likes of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Wilco, Whiskeytown, and The Replacements. They will rock your face off and it's Joe's lady's b-day too.

Thursday, December 11th
The Mike Justis Band
The Mike Justis Band plays acoustic folk on Thursday the 11th. Mike has played at the Goose for many many years, and his brand of classic acoustic music is always refreshing. Featuring Kathy Barwick, Mike Justis, Steve O'Neil, Jeff Sears, and Steve McLane, you're always in for some great Americana, Blues, and Classic folk music.

Friday, December 12th
Miss Mouth Peace and Zyah Belle & The Funkshun - Children's Clothes Drive
The soulful Miss Mouth Peace, a Sacramento, CA native, originally known as Monique Jackson was transformed to Miss Mouth Peace when her passion for music through her own spoken word was heard. Zyah is an r&b songstress and rapper originally from Vallejo. Zyah and her band are pure soul and super tight! Don't miss this show! Please bring clothes to donate to underprivileged children.

Saturday, December 13th
Million Dollar Giveaway, Gillian Underwood, and Hair of The Dawg
Gillian is a wonderful songwriter and longtime Goose performer. Also enjoy fun and fancy indie country from Hair of the Dawg and Million Dollar Giveaway. Bring a friend and enjoy quality music and a great selection of imported beer!

Thursday, December 18th
Steve McLane
Thursday the 18th is Steve McLane and Laurali’s Christmas Party. Steve has been playing at Fox & Goose since the early days. Come hear some classic holiday folk songs at Steve's annual Xmas soiree. 8pm/free

Friday, December 19th
Danny Secretion, Kenny Beasley, Brian Hanover, and TBA
Danny is the Sacto/Chicano punk padre, Kenny is the legendary guitar and vox rude daddy of Sac hardcore and reggae, Brian is the punk rock prophet pappy, and TBA is another equally important local punky prolific songwriter papa. Goose-Music Presents: Pure Acoustic Punk Dads!

Saturday, December 20th
Desario’s sound is reminiscent of ‘90s Britpop and shoegaze, two styles that have long inspired the musicians. More suited to a dark, cavernous club than a raging party, the songs are at once intimate and lonely but always highly melodic and layered.

Friday, December 26th
The Golden Cadillacs
Seriously, this band kills us with amazing songwriting and slick guitars over perfect drums and bass. We can't say enough good things about them. Not only are they so fun to watch, but they are all just super kind and ridiculously talented. Get up close and personal at your Goose.

Saturday, December 27th
Mango & Foat and Drop Dead Red

Mango isn't a Brazilian mango farmer but does electro/acoustic pop music with his lady friend, Foat. Drop Dead Red curses like a sailor, drinks the guys in her band under the table, and will make eyes go teary when she roars the lyrics of classic Beatles tunes.

Wednesday, December 31st
New Year's Eve Bash with Larry Rodriguez, MC HAM, and Wokstar!

Spend your New Year’s Eve with us, and shake your tambourine to the solid funk and soul sounds of Larry Rodriguez. This is by far the best year-end dance party in town, so get the crew together, and let’s ring in the New Year at your favorite pub!
