Saturday, March 3rd is a very special show. The Project Hank Benefit(named after Hank the lab who almost died, but folks donated $2800 and he has made a full recovery) was such a success back in December that it's organizers, Kevin and Allyson Seconds, have decided to do it again. This time the money raised will go to The Mercer Vet Hospital who does all the free services for the pets of the homeless through Loaves and Fishes. The Line up so far is Kevin & Allyson, Gabe Nelson(Cake), Two Sheds, Jay Shaner, Gillian Underwood, Marc Del Chiaro, Emile & Tara Dalkey, String Theory, and Julie the Bruce. Come save an animal and have a Nutburger and a Smithwick's!

The Goose has some cool eclectic sounds happening this March. Kolorgize and Essence of October are coming through with Emily Kollars as the neo-soul songstress with a big voice and sweet sculpted melodies. They're bringing their jazz/pop experimental music to get your toes tappin' and your spring steppin'! Also performing is indie rock artist Pete Nesteruk. Don't miss this awesome free show!
March 8th it's another great free Goose show with Martin Purtill and Shaun Hopper. Martin is a enigmatic local songwriter and brings a fresh sound and a fun atmosphere. Shaun is an amazing guitarist who puts his own twist on some favorites. Check out his acoustic acrobatics on this classic Stevie Wonder song here. We've got everything you need for an interesting and affordable Thursday night date. Have a Cornish Pasty, some lager, and enjoy some awesome quality independent music. Show starts at 8pm.

On Thursday the 15th we are very happy to have The Congress from Denver, Colorado. They're stopping by on tour with their Radiohead friendly music. Don't miss this very cool free show with local folk rockers, Stoneberry. You'll always find great music, friendly people, and really good beer at Fox & Goose.

If you didn't get enough on Saturday, Wednesday, March 21st then come out to Fox & Goose's Traditional Irish Jam Session, hosted by Laura Tjoekler. Everyone is welcome and you can grab a pint of Guinness and just listen, or bring an instrument and join in! Have an Erin Go Bragh(Ireland Forever) sandwich with corned beef, melted swiss cheese, and grilled onions on rye, served with chips.

On Thursday the 22nd, it's The Mike Justis Band. Mike has played at the Goose for many many years. And his brand of classic acoustic music is always refreshing. Featuring Kathy Barwick, Mike Justis, and Steve McLane you're always in for some great Americana, Blues, and Classic Folk music.
Friday, March 23rd we're very happy to have back the super entertaining Walking Spanish. Named after a Tom Waits song, this band is so solid and diverse it seems like they're bound for glory. Lead singer and guitarist, Alex Nelson, has a voice very reminiscent of an older Lennon, Jeff Buckley, and a little Dylan. With great originals and well polished covers this group will keep you wanting more. Opening the show is Honyock, a band of young Elk Grovians, who went from "Riches To Ragtime." Come and support live music in Sactown. This is the next generation of musicians and they are here and stellar!
March 29th the Goose has another amazing free show with Hans and the Hot Mess, Adams & Eves(San Diego), and Amy Bleu(PDX). Hans Eberbach is the front man for The Nibblers and here we find him looping tracks in Ableton Live. Adams and Eves is a really quirky 6 piece group made up of two families. They remind me of the beauty and sophistication of the great Scottish band, Belle and Sebastian. Amy Bleu radiates some kind of mischief or darkness with her eclectic songs of longing and heartbreak. Come hear something you've never heard before, and enjoy our wonderful selection of single-malt Scotch!
Friday the 30th, it's The Storytellers, and they've got a brand new sound with Kenny Beasley on guitar and vocals. Come out and enjoy some old Sacto rocksteady with this classic line up. Opening with an all acoustic set is the Street Urchinz with their rockin' sound. Let's have some London Pride and enjoy a fun night of really good music!
And to finish off March, on Saturday the 31st it's The Fortunate Few, Dry County Drinkers, and The Vintage Vandals. This will be another great country and rockabilly night with lots of $2 Olys and good times for everyone. Michael Ray Strauch, The infamous lead singer of the Fortunate Few has the Heart and Soul of what a great Honky Tonk Singer should be. And the Vintage Vandals are northern California's premier live rockabilly act bringing high energy entertainment. Dry County Drinkers are a fun and funny Honky Tonk band. So come out and let's get those boots tapping!
Saturday, it's a double-trouble birthday bash with a couple of music dudes that have been playing at the Goose for quite a while now. It's Chris Twomey with his band The Diva Kings and Sean Kilcoyne's Trainwreck Revival celebrating with Dad's Lps. This is gonna be a fun party. The Diva Kings and Trainwrecks will be the Americana wheat bread for Dad's Lp's pop/rock sandwich. With that said, you should probably have a Banger on a Bun with your Fuller's ESB, and enjoy some righteous music! Hope to see you here...
