Shoot, it's September already! I don't know where my summer's gone...

Oh yeah, I was at the Goose.

On Wednesday the 4th we have our weekly Northern Soul! & Cornhole! night with rare soul and rocksteady in the front and corn-sack bag-toss in the back featuring musical decisions by Avi Jones, Austin Robins, Bill Schult, and Tim Matranga! Come out and get ridiculous with us every Wednesday night!

Thursday the 5th is Jay Shaner’s band along with The Lion & The Wolf from BHAM playing quirck pop. Jay's band is definitely one of our favorites and they sound like this pub looks... Not sure whether she's the Lion or the Wolf, but Hillary Susz is a wonderful singer and Bellingham, Washington is a lovely place to visit.

Friday the 6th it’s a night of rock & roll with Face 4 Radio and Tom Petty style rock from The Coffis Brothers. Face plays rock. Wish I could tell you more, but they are very secretive. Coffis is made up of actual brothers Jamie and Kellen who play American rock along the lines of Jackie Green and The Traveling Wilburys

And the 7th we have Irish & Americana from our squirrel bird friends One-Eyed Reilly and one-woman-band indie rock from Tajlyn. Come support quality music in a classic British pub atmosphere.

Thursday the 12th it’s Steve McLane’s timeless acoustic tunes. Steve has been playing at Fox & Goose since the early days. He plays classics from Neil Young to the Beatles to Bob Dylan. It's a nice mellow way to spend a Thursday evening with a pint and a pasty. 8pm, free.

Friday the 13th Kevin Seconds plays songs from his new solo album “Don’t Let Me Lose Ya,” with David Houston and String Theory and Danny Secretion. Danny plays drums in the Secretions and has his own rockin' solo stuff too. David plays his dark indie pop backed by a lush string section. You should probably have a nutburger and a Twisted Thistle.

The 14th is celtic rock from the Pikeys and indie rock from The Cigarette Machine. If you like Irish people, rock & roll, and cigarettes, then this is the show for you! Disclaimer: no cigarettes will be smoked within 15 feet of the entrance of the Goose. Noah Nelson fronts The Cigarette Machine and he has been bringing top-notch independent post punk rock music (with a distinctive Pixies vibe) to the Goose for many years! We are very happy to have them back. You should have an Erin Go Bragh sandwich.

The Mike Justis Band plays acoustic folk on Thursday the 19th. Mike has played at the Goose for many many years, and his brand of classic acoustic music is always refreshing. Featuring Kathy Barwick, Mike Justis, Steve O'Neil, Jeff Sears, and Steve McLane, you're always in for some great Americana, Blues, and Classic folk music.

Friday the 20th, it’s the triumphant return of folk rocktress Carly DuHain, with moody guitar rockers Olympus Mons and indie songster, M. Lockwood Porter. Carly is a passionate singer and a dedicated songsmith. Olympus is an amazing dark guitar band with my old boy school chum on drums. M. Lockwood is a great songwriter, simple as that! Get to the Goose for a healthy dose of rock & roll!

It just doesn't feel right when you're not here... So come wiggle to some funk and ska with The Storytellers, Big Sticky Mess, and the South Shore's best band: Black Star Safari. Storytellers are back to make you move with Kenny Beasley bringing the big ups and featuring pro skateboarder Matt Rod! BSM is wicky wicky awesome! Black Star Safari will stir it up with more funkiness. This is a dancehall, tonight for sure!

Don’t forget every Wednesday is Northern Soul! & Cornhole! Music 8 'til late/bag toss at 10pm.

Thursday, it’s a traditional Irish jam session with The Stepping Stone. Bring an instrument, eat an Erin Go Bragh sandwich, and drink Guinness with us!

On the 27th it’s female fronted indie bands Touchez and Red Sky Sunrise. Touchez features Rachel Purdie singing songs influenced by Dionne Warwick and the Style Council. Red Sky Sunrise has vocals by Diana Short and they like Heart!

Making September complete it’s 50-Watt Heavy’s album release with Welsh rockers The Effect and California pop by Rich Driver. Don't miss out on our tasty food, unique entertainment, extensive beer selection, and huge collection of bricks!
