First Friday was great at the Goose! With Be Brave Bold Robot and Carly DuHain, you can't go wrong. Talk about the passion. Every song takes you on a trip into Dean Haakenson's mad brain! And Carly's vocals are so direct and positive that you have to sit back and take it all in. What a fun night and all while 10th street is being ripped out behind them. Opening the show was Andrus-Shively with nice harmonies and acoustical mellow tones, then Carly's band; a full dose of one of Sacramento's best female singer song-writers, and the Be Brave, who seem to take over the room with comfort and angst melded all together. We always look forward to a Dean show, so don't miss the next one!
Second Saturday in October is gonna be pretty amazing at Fox & Goose! With the Foundry, Solomon Dubnick Gallery, and all the artist spaces above, you have no excuse but to take a look. But don't forget to stop in for a pint and shimmy yourself with Dj Hailey. She brings her Hullabalo dance system and all you have to do is shake!

Super Sweet: The Golden Cadillacs
The Golden Cadillacs are a Sacramento indie-country gem. Fox & Goose was graced by their music this last Saturday along with Flannel from Placerville, a really cool new artsy blue grass group. A great show to round out the summer! The Golden Cadillacs are Nick Swimley, Adam Wade, and James Neil, with Steve Randall sitting in on guitar. Check out their sounds here. The Cadillacs bring soulful honky-tonk with really good songwriting and always excellent musicianship. They always get the crowd moving.
The Flannels opened the show and played stand up bass, mandolin, guitar, drums, and saw. Members Jeff Melendez, Jacob Mingle,Mike Rowell, Rob Milo, Ryan McLees, Alex Porte, Ian Cambridge brought an interesting modern twist on blue grass. Check them out right here. Come out and support local music at Fox & Goose and enjoy our unique pub atmosphere with good people and really good beer! Don't forget next Second Saturday October 9th we are featuring Hullabaloo with Dj Hailey.

At the Goose with Ian McGlone and Pushtonawanda
Another fun performance from Ian McGlone and his band Pushtonawanda. Last Thursday Ian brought his group of local rock and rollers for his birthday celebration and filled the pub with good tunes and good vibes. Ian is a longtime performer at the Fox & Goose and we are always thrilled to have him! Pushtonawanda features Alex Bohl, Scott McConaha, and Manuel Tsihlas. Follow them at Pushtonawanda on Facebook.
